Fluorite is one of my favourite crystals. Not only does it match my corporate colours (purple and green) but I love its ‘stabilising’ properties. Fluorite comes in a range of colours but I am drawn to the violet and green versions.
The name fluorite comes from the Latin word fluere which means ‘to flow’ due to the fact that fluorite melts easily. Fluorite is the natural crystalline form of calcium fluoride.
As Fluorite is meant to help bring calm where there is chaos, I have found it to be an excellent stone to meditate with. I also use it near my computers to help with electro-magnetic discharge.
Some believe Fluorite is also an ideal ‘energy shield’ as it helps to disperse and neutralise negative energy. It is also believe to help with nerve related pain such as shingles, especially when gently drawn across the body.
Have you experimented with Fluorite before? Let me know which crystals you are drawn to and we will look into them further in a future blog spot.
As always, thanks for reading and any questions or comments, I’d love to hear from you below.
