I didn't do all 30 days ...
But I've completed far more exercise than I would have ordinarily. It's been great to get the family involved too. Thank you for reading along

Uh oh - no exercise
I'm rather stiff and sore today after yesterday so a rest day of stretching and recovering.

It's Day 26 already, I've loved Juneathon
It's really provided me with motivation to exercise regularly. Today has been a family bike ride to the cricket club and back.

Gosh that was hot
Day 25 of Juneathon. A hot & hilly run with Team Anstey. Luckily followed by their social with hot dogs ;)

Core for day 24 of Juneathon
After a fabulous run yesterday with Team Anstey, this morning has been a Davina Core workout

That felt good
Juneathon Day 23. 17 minutes out and back with Team Anstey. Legs felt good, took it steady. Looking forward to Sundays Colour Blast Dash.

Juneathon Day 22
Has gone swimmingly well; excuse the pun. Went for a swim at our local pool and managed 30 lengths (most yet).

Juneathon Days 20 & 21
Yesterday was a fail. I didn't feel 100% plus it was a busy day. By the time I had finished work I just wanted to rest.
This morning we've been out for a family bike ride (hubby's choice as its Fathers Day 😜)

The best laid plans ... Juneathon Day 19th
Today's exercise can be marked down as planned but just never got there. We had planned on biking to cricket club as a family; however an 'end of term' tired 8 year put an end to that! After cricket club I'm just too tired and going bed.

Exhausted, achy but elated
I'm really beginning to enjoy running. A tough, 'off piste' uphill run towards Bradgate Park tonight.

Juneathon Day 17 - A date with Davina
Well the ice bath paddling pool immersion post run session stretching last night seems to help. I'm not as sore as I expected. This morning I've had a date with Davina McCall - arm strength training DVD.

Tough but rewarding Day 16 of Juneathon
A lovely, warm evening for a stroll; let alone a hilly run. However well worth the effort as feeling great now (although I'm not sure how I will feel tomorrow 😆)

Swim for Day 14 #Juneathon
Yesterday we had a family swim at the local pool where I managed 26 lengths.
Day 15 of Juneathon - Getting the family involved
We've had a lovely family ride after work and school. It's the first time we have biked this route and sadly my Strava didn't work fully. However having ran the route previously I know it's 6.3 miles. Delighted that all four of us managed this route and enjoyed it too :)

Duck Rest Day - 13 of Juneathon
No specific exercise as too busy with customers and the local Scout Duck race. I almost managed 10,000 steps

Ha Ha, I'm not going completely loopy - Juneathon Day 12
Good morning all
I've discovered why Day 10 appeared to be missing - the Blogger app on my IPhone didn't publish that particular blog post. Anyway, all resolved now and you'll see my youngest 'helped' with my arm workout.
Onto Day 12; A glorious morning for a run where I spent some time working on increasing my speed.
As always, thank you for reading my blog post - any questions or queries please ask below :)

How can I put the wrong date - Juneathon
So I've exercised every day in June so far and thought I'd caught up with the blogging! However, I go to type today's entry and notice day 10 missing - sigh :( So we are now on day 11.
My youngest was up early and the eldest still in bed. I've got a full day of work so no chance to exercise later. Trusty old exercise bike to the rescue. I'm hoping that despite events conspiring against my planned alone exercise time, I can still fit in some exercise that makes the heart pump.
It's not glamorous, it's not outside in the glorious sunshine but it's exercise ticked for today :)

Juneathon Day 8 - the settee didn't win
Well it wasn't for long but I got off my ass and cycled.
Sunday, 7 June 2015
Oops, forgot to log my Juneathon exercise 😒
Thursday 4th June - Running with Anstey Amblers and Runners.
Friday 5th June - DOMS so a gentle walk to the next village with the hubby
Saturday 6th June - glorious weather for a 3.7 mile run
Sunday 7th June - a 500 metre swim.
I'm going to set a daily reminder on my phone so I remember to log my exercise 😜

Glorious morning for a run
Juneathon Day 3. Weather forecast said overcast, not a cloud in the sky. Not that I'm complaining :)
Better late than never ... #Juneathon Days 1 and 2
ive joined Juneathon again this year. I was a day late joining so I've been for a swim earlier and I intend to go for a run shortly.

Spring cleaning with natural way
Have you ever wondered just how many chemicals you come into contact with every day? It is something I'm particular about and for the last few years, I've been using the following recipe to create my own general house-hold cleaner.
Grab yourself an empty spray bottle, some cool boiled water, a bottle of Create wash (you can of course use a similar additive free soap), Tea-tree essential oil and lavender essentials oils. I generally just splodge the ingredients together but to give you an idea:-
1 cup of cooled, boiled water
1 tablespoon of Create wash (or similar additive free, natural soap)
10 drops of Tea tree essential oil
5 drops of optional essential oils as below)
(optional additional oils; Lavender, lemon or peppermint, dependant on your preferences)
Tea tree is antiseptic and has been show to have significant anti-viral and anti-fungal properties.
Lavender has antiseptic properties and is calming and balancing
Lemon and Peppermint both smell invigorating.
Spray and clean as necessary (using a reuseable microfibre cloth and your eco-credentials raise even higher.)
Have a try and let me know what you think

Spring is here (Part one)
The days are getting longer (well technically not longer
but lighter for longer), the temperature is slowly getting warmer and in my
garden I see the start of spring. The
same applies to my routines; whether it be beauty, fitness or business
routines.
·
My fitness regime alters due to the increasing
light in the mornings; hopefully less treadmill and more outside exercise
·
I tend to change from a lipstick to a lip
gloss. A great all round balm with a
super zesty scent is the Neal’s Yard Bee Lovely Balm
·
Time to give a super Spring Clean to my make-up
brushes
·
I like to brighten my colour palette; not just
for make-up but clothing. Moving away
from dark earthy tones to lighter, pastel colours
·
I’ll check through all my make-up throwing away
anything that’s past its expiry date (top top; when starting a new
mascara/foundation etc , write the date you opened on the product with a sharpie. Now you know when to bin)
·
Business wise I’m planning treatments and
promotions around Easter/Ostara
·
My Filofax and Planning setup hasn’t changed (at
the moment although I’m always scouring Ebay and Philofaxy for my dream binder)
·
Efforts to improve the condition of my feet
start now ready for sandal wearing. Let
me know below if you’d like some super nourishing pedicure pamper secrets
How do you plan on Spring Cleaning your routine? Next time, we will be upscaling our house
Spring Cleaning products using nature and essential oils.
PS – for my regular readers I have kept to the majority
of my January resolutions. I’m still
posting my running miles into Jantastic having only used the joker once for
when hubby was in hospital. Although I
had a break with the 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene, I’m back on the mat and oh
how I missed thee.

My Filofax setup has evolved
Sometimes I need a little change. Previously I've been using my Filofax Pocket Aston in Orchid. However, I wasn't taking my filofax with me or even looking at my Filofax. One of the posts I read on Philofaxy recently reminded me I have a Pocket Purple Pennybridge at home. I had originally purchased this Filofax for travelling.
I've also been using a separate purse but couldn't find one which wasn't too big or too small (I'm beginning to sound like Goldilocks!) So here are some pretty pictures. I've literally transferred most of the contents from my Aston into the Pennybridge. My only gripe is that I can't fit my phone into the back pocket but otherwise; I'm enjoying the change.
Here are so photos of the Pennybridge in action:-

Quick catch up
Hello all. Just a
quick note of gratitude or as one of my clients called it “A Pollyanna day”. Sometimes life throws you a curve ball; I
like to try and see the positive in most situations. January 2015 is certainly testing my
positivity already. My husband had a car
accident and although not serious, made a mess of the car. My positivity – at least my car isn’t a
write-off and can be fixed.
This week hubby (again!) has been involved in a work
accident. Although run over by a 2 ton
roller; my positivity – at least it was only his lower leg, not his
hips/body/head. Again, hopefully should
be repairable.
Both situations require a change to routines and some
inconvenience but they could have been a lot worse. Our boys have been understandably worried
about their Dad. I’m grateful I’ve been
working on my patience and the ability to re-think situations. This has helped me explain the positives to
the boys and ask for their help “pulling together as a team”.
Needless to say, Reiki and meditation have been
invaluable to:-
·
Help me stay calm on my hurried journey to the
hospital
·
Remind myself a car is just a piece of metal
·
Assist with hubby’s physical healing
·
Calm the tearful emotions of our teenage soon
·
Provide a physiological support blanket to our
youngest son sitting huddled on my lap
The couple of glasses of wine and the support of our
amazing family and friends have been invaluable too.
I hope your start to 2015 hasn’t been quite as
testing.

Resolutions, Goals and New Beginnings
Happy New Year dear readers. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Our Christmas and New Year wasn’t quite as
relaxing as I had hoped but nevertheless still enjoyable. It was lovely to spend extended time with my
family.
Taking a break from work between Christmas and New Year
meant it was easy to find the time to start my New Year’s resolutions of
keeping fit both mentally and physically.
A combination of daily Reiki, Meditation and Yoga along with physical
exercise has ensured I feel optimistic about 2015. I’m currently participating in 30 Days of
Yoga with Adriene (http://yogawithadriene.com/30days/ via @yogawithadriene)
which I’m loving. Running is not
something I’m great at but I’m beginning to enjoy the health benefits so I’m
also in a ‘Too Fat To Run’ Jantastic Team https://www.jantastic.me/
Now I’ve announced my January resolutions it’s given me even
more motivation to keep going with them – gulp!
So have you set yourself any goals or
resolutions for this year? I’d
love to know in the comments below (announcing them to the world helps your
resolutions or goals to stick). Are they
physical challenges? Maybe you’ve even
thought about a change in career (or a small business side-line). If you enjoy natural, organic skincare and
would like the opportunity to save 20% off future purchases, I’m looking for members
to join my Neal’s Yard Remedies Organic team – contact me for further
information.
